Fess Parker University Winemaker Dinner featuring Tim Snider (Fess Parker), Dave Potter (Potek), Blair Fox (Blair Fox Wines) and Mikael Siquoin (Kaena)

Fess Parker made a name for himself as the ‘coon-skin’ wearing Davy Crockett and then as the owner of Santa Barbara’s Fess Parker Winery. His son, Eli Parker was head winemaker from 1996-2005. Tim Snider married Eli’s sister Ashley and joined the winery in 1999 and today is President. In 2005, Eli went outside of the family, making assistant winemaker Blair Fox the head winemaker, at just 29 years old. While head winemaker, Blair has developed his small, family label – Blair Fox Wines – into a successful, award-winning winery. Mikael Sigouin worked under Blair’s direction as assistant winemaker for nearly two years where he cultivated his love for Grenache by making his own wines under his Kaena label. Dave Potter followed Mikael as assistant winemaker under Blair and worked for Fess Parker Wines for nearly seven years. David left four years ago to focus full time on his Municipal Winemakers project and has started a second project, Potek. For this dinner, the four winemakers come together to share their stories and their wines.
